The course gives students an introduction to the most important theories and current discourses in Chinese social science studies. Through intensive readings of sources in Chinese social science studies, students acquire an overview of theories and discourses. The students will learn to critically engage with these sources and will learn to apply the theories to current developments in China. During the course, each student has to fill in online quizzes for each of the online videos. Submission of these quizzes is requirement for successful participation of the course. The quizzes are based on a pass-fail basis. WebEx sessions will offer the opportunity to discuss the readings. At the end of the course the students have to participate in a (German) exam. The exam lasts 60 minutes and consists of approx. 35 multiple choice questions. Schließen
