The seminar offers the students the opportunity to improve their understanding of academic and political discussions on actor-centred concepts in political science and sociology and to foster their background on the analysis attitudes, perceptions and behaviour of political actors. These can be individuals, judges, civil society groups who engage in defence of the rule of law or politicians, parties, entrepreneurs or other individuals or groups that act against it and contribute to its decline. By doing that, the course will take the EU's multi-level system into account as well as the different dynamics of deepening and widening the European Union. Students are supposed to develop own projects in teams and include an excursion with bloc seminar and site visits to UC Louvain and Brussels.
