Comments
The class serves as an introduction into the application of quantitative methods for the research of social science phenomena, with particular focus on area studies-related topics. We will address in particular the application of the regression analysis in social science research, the underlying assumptions and research boundaries. The class will consist of two parts. In the first lecture-like block, we will discuss the necessary concepts and methods for the practical application of the quantitative methods. In the second part, we will jointly look at the practical application of quantitative methods using actual empirical data. The class will be augmented by practical exercises in the DataCamp plattform. To pass the class, students are expected to pass one of the self-learning courses on DataCamp close
