The seminar offers an opportunity to apply macroeconomic thinking and tools to current policy issues such as geoeconomics and global fragmentation, the resurgence of inflation and its implication for monetary policy, and the macroeconomics of the pandemic. The final list of topics and relevant starter literature will be shared by email around the start of the semester. The course will take place as a 2-day block seminar over the weekend of December 03th and 04th, 2022. The working language is English.
The course requirements are:
1. A 20 min presentation on the topic that you choose from the list of seminar topics, followed by a discussion.
2. A written seminar paper on the same topic submitted by March 31, 2023.
Your final grade will be based on the presentation, your participation in class discussions, and the seminar paper.
