  Comments
Desire, porn, accusations of rape: In the essay collection "The Right to Sex," philosopher Amia Srinivasan considers sex as a political phenomenon. In the process, she finds hidden racism and class conceit in some feminist argumentation. In the course, we will read the whole essay trying to open up different perspectives of studying human relations in the Middle East and in global contexts.
The course is a first in a series of reading very contemporary and hotly discussed texts that may or may not be considered in relation to studying the so-called Middle East.
