The course is implemented as a 3 weeks compact course, offering
administrative knowhow on handling unix, on virtualizers, logical
partitioning techniques and an in depth understanding of hard disk
RAID technology
Beginning with a short introduction in shell usage and programming and
the evaluation of differences between Bourne Shell, Korn Shell, bash
and C-Shell.
In the following 2 weeks, administrative shell scripts have to be
implemented on the unix instances that have to be set up as well
In the second an third week, virtualisation and paritioning techniques
are evaluated. Later on unix instances have to be setup and configured
to match a networked environment on base of of an assortment of
virtualized and partitionend systems, while virtualized machines and
partitioned systems have to be set up on ones self
Storage RAID technology structure and design will be explained and
implemented using zfs/zpools on base of hardware partitioned unix
instances
