There will be excursions and visits to museums with included teaching.
Comments
The course provides knowledge in the field of history and specifics of the three subjects involved in the study program. It introduces a series of different topics to give the participants in the study program a common basis beneficial for discussions. The basic topics include the creation of relative and absolute chronologies, the spatial ordering of material inventories, the linking of written evidence, images, and object categories, and specific archaeological interpretive methods. The basic topics are dealt with using examples from the participating profile disciplines (Near Eastern Archaeology, Prehistory, Classical Archaeology).
