The course offers an introduction to the astrology of the Late Babylonian period (5th–1st cent BCE), and to its context in astral science and culture of Mesopotamia. The types of Late Babylonian astrological texts together with their main elements will be introduced, and a selection of cuneiform tablets will be read. close
