Additional information / Pre-requisites
The course will be held in block format between 13th March and 31st of March, 2023. In consultation and agreement with students, there is a possibility that a few sessions may be re-scheduled, however, they will still occur within these three weeks.

Objectives: Students will become familiar with methods of qualitative data analysis and the underlying theoretical and scientific concepts of qualitative methodologies. They can independently design and implement interview and evaluation methods adapted to a specific research context (especially in a development geography context). They will become familiar with the potentials, limitations and challenges of qualitative and quantitative, participatory, and transdisciplinary methods. Research design can be adapted according to the context of interest to students.
Contents: Collection, analysis and interpretation of qualitative data using MaxQDA
Form of active participation: Presentations, group work, data analysis, and reporting
